MotivDaily Privacy Policy

Overview

MotivDaily is a quotes and motivation app. Most of the app — browsing quotes, favoriting them, setting reminders, changing themes — works entirely offline, with that data stored only on your device. Creating an account is optional and is only needed for features that involve other people or other devices: publishing a quote publicly, liking or commenting on quotes, or backing up your own quotes.

Data Stored On Your Device

The following stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere unless you create an account:

• Favorited quotes and reading preferences
• Notification/reminder schedule
• Theme, language, and background settings
• A local cache of your own quotes, for offline access

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data.

Accounts (Optional)

If you choose to create an account, you can do so in one of these ways:

• Email sign-in code — a one-time 6-digit code sent to your email
• Email + password
• Guest account — created instantly with no email required, tied to this device/install only. Guest accounts can use every feature (creating quotes, liking, commenting), but can't be recovered if you sign out or reinstall unless you add an email and password to the guest account first.

We use this identity only to associate your content with you and let you sign back in. We don't require or collect your real name.

Data We Store In The Cloud (Account Holders Only)

If you create an account, the following is stored on our backend (Supabase, see below):

• The quotes you create, including whether you've marked them public
• A username (auto-generated, or one you choose) and an optional display name
• Likes you've given, and the like/view/comment counts on quotes
• Comments and replies you post, and their content
• Your account email (unless you're using a guest account) and authentication data

Quotes you mark public are visible to anyone using the Discover feed, along with your username. Quotes you keep private are visible only to you.

Advertising

MotivDaily shows ads served by Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, app-open, native, and rewarded formats) to support free use of the app. To do this:

• Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects certain device and advertising-identifier data to select and measure ads, governed by Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites and apps that use our services.
• Where required (for example, in the EEA and UK), we show a consent form — via Google's User Messaging Platform — before requesting ads, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings → About → Manage ad consent.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for anything beyond serving and measuring the ads shown in the app.

What We Don't Do

• We don't collect your contacts, photos, or precise location.
• We don't run a separate analytics or tracking SDK beyond the advertising described above.
• We don't sell your data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication for account holders.
• Google AdMob / User Messaging Platform — serves ads and manages ad-consent choices, as described above.

Deleting Your Data

• On-device data: uninstall the app.
• Account data: sign in, then go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your quotes, profile, likes, and comments from our systems. You can also email us to request deletion.

Children's Privacy

MotivDaily is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes To This Policy

We'll update the "Last Updated" date above whenever this policy changes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
